Branding and Advertising are the most crucial components of a marketing strategy and process. Without these two, your organization or company is as good as non-existing. They complement each other to achieve optimum results. Consequently, people tend to misplace one concept for the other which adversely affects the flow of the marketing process.

Branding has to do with the nature of your business, the name, and how it resonates with the public. In its simplest form, Branding is Identity. The identity that people visualize each time they think of your product. When people think of Dropbox, they don’t see the blue box, they see the ease of storing files on the cloud.

Likewise, when people think of Apple, they don’t imagine a fruit, they see simplicity, class, and great aesthetics. In essence, a brand goes beyond the awesome graphics. It’s the personality that your target audience can interact with.

Therefore, as you design your brand strategy, ensure that it conveys that one message or story to your target audience. A great brand identity is an ideal way to ensuring memorable customer experience.

On the other hand, having a stellar brand identity is great. But if no one knows who and what this identity is, then it’s useless. Advertising takes the brand’s personality to the target audience so they can interact with it. It involves the process of communicating your product to those who need it through different channels. These channels, include TV, billboards, Radio, Print, Social Media, etc.

Creating a stellar brand identity and maximizing advertisements begins with exploiting insights. How do you handle customers activities? Do you care or you’re just indifferent?
